"The vast majority of left-of-center memers on this site are simply moderates, liberals, and Democrats who dislike Trump."

There is nothing moderate about the people you are describing. Moderates are not anti-capitalist and pro-socialist on economic issues. They are also not merely "anti-trump" but are rabid partisans.

Not liking the President and stating good reasons for doing so, as the vast majority of left-leaning memers here do, is not “rabid partisanship.”

It’s normal political discourse.

I don’t see much evidence, if any, that anti-Trumpers here are against capitalism.

Expanding social spending and economic support isn’t “socialism,” or else 99% of the GOP + Trump having now voted for and/or signed the CARES Act has shown itself to be socialist.

Where did I say that was the definition of rabid partisanship? Oh right, I didn't. Once again we see you are incapable of debating on his own arguments.

Also, what are these "good reasons" for opposing the President? I ask because the reasons I see take such forms as "Trump's a racist, narcissist..." Or some other incantation of an ad hominum attack.

"I don’t see much evidence, if any, that anti-Trumpers here are against capitalism."

Really? Then you are willfully ignorant. Just yesterday there was post, which you are aware of, where the central claim was "capitalism has destroyed American manufacturing". Pretty anti-capitalist sentiment.

I already commented on your other ignorant meme related to this claim. Go see it.

Well, you said there’s “nothing moderate” about the people I described — and I described memers here who dislike Trump. So, I disagree with your characterizations.

“Racist” is not an ad hominem insult, but a description of actual attitudes. And there’s plenty of evidence over 3+ years of his very own statements and public policies to conclude that Trump is a racist. To be more precise, I’d say he’s an anti-immigrant and anti-Hispanic bigot.

Same goes with “narcissism.” Since we have plenty of evidence Trump’s a narcissist (do you really want to get into it?), objecting to calling him a narcissist as simply being an ad hominem attack isn’t that persuasive.

I don’t think Trump’s actively *against* blacks necessarily, but he’s sure not very sensitive to them, either.

Other memers have argued — in fact Trump himself has argued — that free-trade agreements like NAFTA and such have hollowed our America’s industrial base over a period of decades. Trump pulled us out of the TPP negotiations. These are pretty mainstream bipartisan viewpoints at this point. Check out this meme by one of the liberal memers you argued with which hit the front-page of politics.

I would clarify that describing these bad effects on our economy as a function of “capitalism” is not very precise. We can still have capitalism without giving away the farm to other countries in trade deals.

Calling someone a racist is absolutely an ad hominum attack. And it's used to shut down debate by labeling the other party not worthy of debate. The same goes with labeling people as narcissistic. There is nothing constructive to debating issues by saying "trumps a racist narcissist".

As to the anti-captalist nature of the memes. They are just that, anti-captalist. Further they continually mistake government interventions in the marketplace as short comings of capitalism. The meme you shared is a prime example. In the 1940s we had far less government intervention than we do today. Secondly it makes a ridiculous comparison between airplane manufacturing and that of mask. As I said yesterday, I see little benefit in debating economic issues with these people because they truly are uninformed and there is little of anything they can explain beyond restating bumper sticker sayings.
