You seem like a nice person and I address all my arguments with respect because you seem willing to respect my opinion whether you agree with it or not.
1.I DON"T hate gay people, transgenders, lesbians, queers, or any LGBTQ person. As a Catholic I
believe that every human being from conception to natural death is made in the image and
likeness of God.
2.I DO hate the behavior but NOT the person. As a Catholic I have often been asked the age-old
question "If God is truly good why does He allow bad to happen?". I answer with God loves
everyone whether they make the right choices or not and respects everyone's free will.
3.I love everyone because I as a Catholic strive to be like God who, as I mentioned, loves everyone.
4.You know that I think it's wrong but you don't know why. Well you may know the Christian creation
story from the book of Genesis. God created man and woman to "be fruitful and multiply". True
love is between a man and a woman. Marriage is meant to be the joining of a male and a female
to help each other grow in holiness.
5.Sorry if Catholics gave the impression I hated gays and lesbians. We didn't mean to give that message off.

Homosexuality is against the Bible so

we shouldn't support them, but we shouldn't hate them either, the only way to help them is by love and prayer.

We accept the person as being valuable just like every member of society because they are created and loved by God. We don't believe homosexual tendencies are a choice nor are they wrong however it's the lifestyle that we find objectionable because it does not support marriage as between a man and a woman nor does it lead to the procreation of children which is an essential part of society. Don't you find it kind of contradictory that God created humanity in his image yet homosexuality is considered sinful? As far as scientific research goes, being gay isn't anymore of a choice than your height, eye colour, or skin tone. So if God truly hated gays, why would he make them so?

Please let me explain myself better, I didn't say anywhere in my statement that God hates gays in fact I said He loves them the same as all his creation. Your original question is are Catholics against LGBTQ individuals and my answer is no.

I tried to find studies that say conclusively that being gay is genetic, it's still under research so please link me if you have a conclusive study.

We are against homosexual acts not homosexual individuals. Just as we are against alcoholism but not alcoholics (pardon the analogy, I'm not comparing homosexuals to alcoholics but there's indications that people might be born more inclined to be addicted to substances like drugs and alcohol. So it's a similar idea)

God made mankind in his image in that they have an intellect and a will that is distinct from other animals. We also have a soul that is meant to be in heaven with Him. Because of sin entering the world we have some inclinations that God never intended and which are not for our good. I'm inclined to hit my kids when they misbehave, is that a good thing? No. And it's not part of God's design. Some people are inclined to gamble or do drugs is that a good thing? Again I'm not comparing just giving examples.

Now Catholics hold sex in high regard because it is ordered to the unity of a man and a woman and toward the begetting of children. The male and female body are naturally created to compliment and fit together. Could you say the same about a male and male or female and female body? We know every sexual act isn't supposed to result in a baby after all there are infertile or elderly couples who still have sexual relations. Even a fertile couple isn't supposed to just breed like rabbits, they can and should practice moderation. We don't even think unmarried heterosexual couples should engage in sexual relationships so it's not an injunction we place just on the lgbtq population. Sex is sacred in the proper setting.

One last question. Did you read I_will_steal_ all _ dank_ memes comment above? He pretty much put it in a nutshell. Did you want to follow up on that?
