No, they are all failures. They have one job, make deals to help the voters. If either side fails the other should should force them to tow the line, that never happens. If they worked anywhere else they would have been fired long ago.

That isn't how our government works. If morons would stop voting for idiots like Schumer and Pelosi, then maybe we can get it done

The parties have been strictly partisan for over a decade. I do not think that is the result of just Schumer and Pelosi or even Trump who inherited this mess. Personally, I blame Mitch McConnell who reinvented the obstructionist game plan as a necessary political tactic. After the dreadful result of Republicans and Democrats working together in a crisis during 9/11 that brought us the Patriot Act, a tool by our government used to spy on it's very citizens, I'm not really surprised that either side wants to work with one another. And that they can't rush a simple bill through without tacking on their own rushed provisions. Both sides are, in fact, guilty of that.

You both make good points, it didn't help the dems shut their doors when Obama was in charge. I think we are well past a point where the old timers can ever trust each other. The solution IMHO is replace all of them. Even if we get more self centered jerks they will not have the political clout the old timers do
