Do something to pass the time. Play some video games, binge watch Netflix, read a book, anything you can do to pass the time.

I like video games

That’s a good start. Idk what sort of video games you play, but my recommendation is Skyrim in the Elder Scrolls series. You can easily spend thousands of hours playing it trying to complete quests.

Always wanted to play Skyrim, but I don't have that game. I do got Mortal Kombat.

Take up a hobby, or go for a (brief) walk. Talk to someone on the phone, I forget how super satisfying that is.

Does learning something new count as a hobby?

Kind of... but it is a great way to pass the time. Try something random! Pinterest has got to have a bunch of boredom busters.

Take a break from any and all news. Do not check stats, do not read articles, avoid social media where it is being discussed for one single day. Allow yourself to think of other things.

Ok, I try staying away from the news (or at least limit it)

Excellent advice!

Take a walk in the park. See a movie. Visit your grandparents at the old folks home. Go to a NCAA March Madness game. See a play. Go to Chinatown. Mingle. Visit your local hospitals. You'll get through this. Just don't isolate yourself. Expose yourself to as many people as you can.

Here is a link to a stream (I don't own it btw) that is supposed to be only memes that have nothing to do with the coronavirus. It definitely has a slow start but if we start putting memes in there it might do you some good.

Also, communicate with family and friends. That is ESSENTIAL for keeping sane. I speak from experience.

And, I'm an introvert and I don't know if this would help you specifically, but I see this as an opportunity to catch up on some YouTube videos or other things that I wouldn't have time to watch if I had to go to school. I just curl up in my bed, get my laptop, and watch whatever looks interesting that doesn't say COVID-19 on it to kind of distract me.

Also, I tried going on walks but my neighborhood used to be a lot more busy and now that nobody is out anymore that's kind of all that's on my mind so do what works for you.

Hope that helps! :)

I can't really help. Im losing my mind too. But my nieces and nephews are by me so I have something to do. They came b4 everything shut down. Im also doing spring cleaning plus randomly trying to zoom call my friends for human interaction. Its crazy, but there is always a light at the end of the tunnel, so don't lose hope.

Rest assured in how our government has a handle on everything and it will all be fine. lol! Seriously though: I am hopeful U.S. policymakers do realize that we need to take care of average people at a time like this.

Other day-to-day advice I'll echo, and include some others: develop a hobby or two, walk outside, take up cooking, connect or re-connect with friends/family over the phone or social media, knock out some house projects, get a garden started (Spring is right around the corner), binge some TV, play video games, settle into an exercise routine if you are lucky enough to have a home gym set-up (wifey and I are thanking the Lord for our Peloton right now), or just relax on the couch with your pets (if you have them) and some coffee or tea.

Try not to waste your days without any purpose or sense of direction, or dwell too long on the strangeness of it all. This is "the new normal" and everyone's going through it. When we get to the other side of this, I am hopeful people will emerge back into the world with a renewed purpose and appreciate all the joys of life and freedoms we once took for granted.

You were given an essay? Next week, I heard my school district is making everyone do home school by sending us a list of activites to do on each subject.
