Well that's an interesting list.
For some curious reason I didn't like the Beatles growing up, save for Helter Skelter and Revolution No9. Once in a while we'd have a class pizza party in grammar school and this one dude used to bring in their records and everyone surrounded him asking to play this one, no, that...
I sat all quiet all alone wondering what was wrong with me. He'd bring in Elton John also, whose only song I like at the time was Island Girl.
I did like the Stones more.
I never got Dylan, and I won't say more on that.
One of the first LPs I bought in the Village ("Er me gosh, imports!") was Roxy Music's Country Life with the Brit (tits!) cover. Buying it at Korvettes with mommy about wasn't happening when I was younger, plus it was pricier than the $2.99 on sale discs, difficult with my $1 a week allowance, woulda been 2 months of saving.
I hated Disco back then except for KC & the Sunshine Band and Santa Esmeralda's vers of "Please Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood." I loved "Ain't Gonna Bump No More With No Big Fat Woman" but I think that's more Funk anyways. Weird thing is that I like it more now, them tunes weren't so bad. My whole neighborhood went from Hard Rock to Disco within a year, and I was the Punk & New Wave weirdo, hahaha.
I used to frequent an Alt Rock dating site that had a forum till 2 yrs ago. Was surprised how many are Social D fans, I mean, even the younger generations. Good to see that, although I always found them a tad monotonal, like they have one song but at least it's a good one.
Not sure why you ain't liked anything since 9/11. Good stuff is still around to be found.
I've been leaning towards a lot of Americana in recent years - Death Country, Noir Folk, stuff with Punkier roughness around the edges, darker, Gothy,,,
There's an excellent V.A. series of such on YouTube called Death Roots Podcast. Came up in my feed a cpl of months ago and I can't stop listening.
