yeeaahhh...Pelosi tried to sneak in Abortion Funding into this COVID-19 bill.
THAT is why House REpublicans voted against it.
So much for the Democrats and their "concern" over COVID-19

KylieFan - Republicans are enabling a crisis by playing politics

Also KylieFan - I am glad Pelosi played politics on this issue, thereby enabling this crisis

I swear, sometimes you present a rational analysis of issues, but most of the times you lack basic critical thinking skills.

Just look at the meme in your response and the question it asks. "Did it make into the final bill"..Well, it didn't because THEY READ THE BILL. F**k man, do yourself a favor and think more.

He maybe a lawyer, I doubt it, but it is possible.

My guess would be an undergraduate majoring in social sciences

"Why did 40 House Republicans go ahead and oppose the bill, even after any conceivable abortion-related provisions were taken out?"

You really demonstrating the aforementioned lack of critical thought.

Let me take your wittle hanny and walk you through it.

First Draft: Includes abortion (you later tried to claim you were proud of this, after first feigning ignorance to it, so its rich you accuse another person of "talking out both sides your mouth")

Second Draft: WE DONT KNOW WHAT IS IN IT...its possible some other language was changed. We don't know.

Let them read the bill.

Guy, you are f**king dead in the head.

"Some Republicans did complain about the accelerated process you describe, but again from a fiscal standpoint."

DUH...you do realize that SPENDING on ABORITON is a FISCAL issue as well, right? The minute that pork was found out, it makes sense to slow the process from both a fiscal standpoint and a governance standpoint.

"As Pelosi says, Democrats could have passed "their own bill" but instead they sat down with Trump and negotiated it, resulting in Trump's announcement urging Republicans to approve it."

OMFG...lets just give that gal a big pat on the back for working with the other side in a crisis. What a leader!!! Secondly, this makes sense as had Democrats rammed a bill through with no Republican input, what do you think would have happened in the REPUBLICAN CONTROLLED SENATE?

Come on man. Please stop now. This is getting embarrassing for you.

Previously democrats tried to sneak in abortion funding. That is just plain political poppycock. Smart people would not rush a vote on legislation they haven't read. Unless of course you are Nancy Pelosi and you operate under the "you have to pass it to find out what's in it" ideology.

You have a severe selective reading issue. Nowhere did I say there was language for abortion funding in the most current iteration of the bill. I highlighted that a previous version included such provisions.

Further, I would rather allow the law makers an appropriate time frame to read the bill rather than rush to pass a bill that is over pages long.

After hours of negotiation, Trump told Republicans to vote "yes": Shouldn't that be enough?

I keep hearing the "abortion" card being played here but haven't seen anything about it. Regardless, if it wasn't in the final bill then it provides absolutely no justification for voting "no"

Pelosi attempted to secure a funding stream of up to $1 billion for reimbursing laboratory claims. According to White House officials who spoke with the Daily Caller, that provision would establish a precedent under which health claims for all procedures, including abortion, could be reimbursed with federal funds. That precedent would render the Hyde Amendment, which blocks taxpayer funding for abortion clinics, obsolete.

Again, hours of negotiation, not READING THE BILL. Have you ever read a bill's text? There are constant references to other bills, striking or amending language, and you would need to research all the relevant legislation to see what they are striking, amending or including.

Your responses continue to decline in rational thought at an exponential rate.

A funding bill in the USA does not have an impact on a GLOBAL SCALE...so your reference is not only irrelevant, but pretty damning of your entire thought process on the issue.

I support the narrative of the bill. I don't know what is in there, so I can't say whether or not I support the bill as written. If there are unrelated pork items that either side is trying to pack in there because "we are facing a crisis" and people will panic to get something done, then either party guilty of such action should be condemned.

"Those usually come about only on close votes when certain key members' votes need to be effectively "bought."

Clearly your analysis is incorrect as evidenced by Pelosi's blatant attempt at porking the bill
