It doesn’t matter what people tell you, mental health is more important than grades. However, you should study until you understand the subject, and if you get tired go to sleep because there’s always other opportunities.

They should address mental health more often, but nooooo our education system just don't care.

Schools are a mess in every way possible, it’s honestly very sad

Tell me about it, it's just sad. I bet whoever isn't going through that because of our school system is the 1% of students and that's not possible.

I know in one of our local schools, people are actually having issues learning because of filth. The average test score in the building is 74%.

That's so sad

Losing sleep is not worth a test grade.

Not at all?

Well, hardly ever. Sometimes you stay up doing something you love, but that can even take a toll on your mental health in a different way. Obviously, getting an A is a good thing, but if you really haven't learned what you're studying, and you're just trying to pass the test, what's the difference?

No difference I'm guessing?

Pretty much.

Then I guess I really have a grade anxiety (my parents weren't the cause of it at all, I developed it on my own when I was in 3rd Grade, judging by that I'm pretty sure it's severe, right?)

It can be, yes. And definitely don't be the cause of your own grade anxiety, especially if your parents are chill about grades, it really isn't worth it.

Even my friends (both in ImgFlip and in real life) noticed that and I can tell that they're worried. I just thought that perfect grades are everything in life, and it seriously takes its toll. I'm sorry if I get a little too dark, but to be honest with you there are days where I just want to not get out of bed because of it.

Hey, it's good to express these things. While good grades are helpful, they aren't everything. Make sure you get some rest, okay? And definitely have your friends keep accountable. When the day is done, you need to make sure you're taken care of.

Oof I have that same problem. I got super mad at myself when I got an A- in science. Just as long as you get the gist of it, I think you'll be fine. It's OK to get some questions wrong. Don't over work yourself.
2 ups, 5y,

Yeah, I just found my problem right there. I over work myself when it's really unnecessary.

I swear I'm going to be up until 3 am this morning cuz my teachers have me like five hours of homework in all and I have personal studying and rehearsal and other crap to do for school

A little bit of stress is normal, and even healthy. If studying doesn't feel hard on occasion, then you're probably not learning anything.

But if you feel your mental health is in jeopardy, then you should take a step back and get some extra sleep or do something else you find enjoyable.

Health is #1. If you don't have your health, then you don't have anything. And that includes mental health.
