Even the stuff I've heard him say, himself, right out of his own pie hole?

Yeah, that stuff must be wrong, too.

whats wrong with honeymooning in the ussr, if i honeymoon in britain do i support the us becoming a colony again?
i have not been able to find the full in context clip where sanders says that, every video criticizing him for it does not expand past those 12 seconds, but i did find this video that had the same background https://www.cctv.org/watch-tv/programs/interview-mayor-sanders-after-his-trip-nicaragua though he doesnt mention food lines
maybe dont use a 12 second clip of someone saying something as your entire thesis as to why you dont like that person

A real good friend of mine escaped from Nicaragua during this period that Bernie praises so highly. In the middle of the night Sandinista thugs would drag everyone out of bed and force them into the town square, then execute 2 or 3 people at random. When his uncle and cousin were killed one night he decided to get out of the country no matter what it took. He had to leave everything behind but what he could carry on his back, college credentials- everything. Two days later his brother who wouldn't leave with him was executed. Bernie is a classic useful idiot, and he is growing the ranks of like thinkers who either deny the "socialist" reality or approve of it. Keep in mind that as a godless philosophy, there was a faction who detested the similarity of communist and communion so they called themselves "socialists". Same evil playbook. If you want a socialist existence, why not move to a well established utopia and leave those of us alone who want to live up to whatever potential we might have, rely on ourselves instead of being a ward of the state here? Make those established socialist havens into the perfect world you want.

Let me put it this way, you have a lot of socialist countries to chose from. There is nothing else that compares to the US. People who want nothing to do with living in a socialist state don't have any other other choice. Go be happy, let us stay here and be happy.

why is that necessarily socialist? there are death squads just like that in afghanistan and theyre a republic like the us. what both of these countries have in common is that the us has invaded the countries at some point, which is very curious to me

You seem earnest, could I recommend a movie to you. It deals with the socialist nation of East Germany, been a while since I watched it, so I'm fairly sure it is subtitled. Written by and acted by Germans around actual events (as much as is possible in a 2 hour film). It's called The Lives of Others. Another would be Der Tunnel or The Tunnel. Another great documentary about our neighbor to the south is Cartel Land.
We didn't really invade Nicaragua- it was more a case of financial support for resistance fighters against the Sandanistas. I mentioned one refugee friend, I have others that I have to believe were murdered, because I lost contact with them during the revolution. Others I was able to reconnect with.
I have really been fortunate to have a very unique life where I have worked i burnsn DC, in fact over the years have worked in 42 states. I speak several languages, some more fluently than others. I have traveled extensively and visited socialist countries. I've had security clearances and yet right now I drive a truck over the road (like I said- unique). I have met literally thousands of people over the years and truly have an interest in their stories, so I ask a lot of questions, and I write a lot of it down. I've nearly died too many times, saved several lives along the way, and always asked questions then shut up and listened.
It has been pretty consistent, whether a Russian, Cuban, Nicaraguan, Chilean, German, Korean, Vietnamese, Cambodian, Venezuelan or other refugee. We don't appreciate what we have in the US enough and socialism and it's variants are fundamentally evil. The ruling class always gets richer and the people suffer. I saw the last violent US socialist revolution first hand and it wasn't sticking flowers in gun barrels. Everyone knows 4 students got killed at Kent State, how many got bayoneted? You can find it if you dig a little. I know one of the guys, and he told me a lot about the inside of the "movement". Believe me it is evil to the core. Bernie campaign workers are saying if Bernie doesn't get the nomination Milwaukee burns. ??? Really? BUt you know what, happened before, I wouldn't be surprised. If your ideas don't win, destroy. Same as it's always been.

And not to pick on you, but Afghanistan is not like us. East Germany called itself a Republic but was not. The Taliban destroyed some of the most ancient Buddhist shrines in the world long before 9/11, in spite of the outcry and pleading to preserve it as a world heritage spot. That was only the beginning- another culturally enlightening movie to watch is The Stoning of Soraya M If you can't travel, movies can sometimes be a good window for perspective.

what we have in the us still sucks, even if it's 'better' than other countries
our healthcare system is a total mess, our colleges leave the average worker in huge amounts of debt, most young people cant afford more than an apartment, and thats including food. if we can change even a few things in these disgusting systems for the better, thatll be better than what we have now, the richest country on earth's population should not be on its knees before the elite, a trait you attribute to socialism

Just curious. How much have you traveled? Have you had the opportunity to stay in any foreign countries for any length of time?
Our healthcare system is incredible- the politicized term is actually blasting health insurance. If you check out history, you'll find that oppressive governments have always taken control of "healthcare". If healthcare is politicized, one party in control can deny care to political adversaries, or anyone who doesn't toe the party line. Happened multiple times.
The greatest crime in education is they no longer educate, they indoctrinate. I have supervised 100-125 people a day, and the worst thing is to see a very intelligent young college graduate who can't hand write a note, and worse, can't read what they wrote because they were never taught how to spell. (Oh we don't need penmanship or spelling- everything will be done on computers in the future - I was told at my oldest son's 1st grade parent teacher meeting 35 years ago).
Like millions of others, I had student loan debt when I graduated, took 15 years to pay it off. It's a choice to take it on. Ate a lot of macaroni and cheese, and beans because I couldn't stand ramen noodles. College is perhaps the most disgusting system that needs reform.
No matter what you might think, no one owes you a thing. You do have to earn it because nothing in life is handed to anyone. The wealth of others has nothing to do with your prosperity. How does taking anything I've earned away from me make your life better?

obviously youve never spoken to a european about healthcare, especially a scandinavian
we have the best healthcare in the world for rich people, the average american close to california or mexico go to those places to buy drugs because the drugs there are about 10x cheaper than there for some drugs like insulin, they cant afford anything medical here

the way you describe free college clearly tells me you dont know what youre talking about, it's not money on a pallet every month, it means the college is free

not everyone can control their circumstances. someone born black cant stop a white cop from shooting them, a poor person isnt always going to be able to pull themselves up by their bootstraps. that phrase was created to show how ridiculous the idea of a self made man was. why are you talking about your grandparents suffering through the system like it's a good thing? that shouldnt be happening in the richest country on earth, an american should starve every night to succeed, while three people sit atop gold towers making more money than anyone could make if they worked since jesus was crucified? why have you refused to empathize with the rest of your fellow workers and draw conclusions from your own experiences? is it because you think that's just how it's supposed to be? the american propaganda machine may have convinced you, but it will never convince me that starvation is mandatory, or that scandinavians dont have good healthcare and are the happiest people in the world

Sorry, you are incapable of self analysis. Physician heal thyself can't apply to you. I asked you a few very simple questions to try to gain a little understanding of where you are coming from, but all you seem capable of is reciting bland platitudes.
If you were capable of self-analysis, you would quickly see that you are furious that there is a system in place that provides for an orderly society. The rules for that society are pretty simple, do no harm to others. Assume responsibility for your own actions. Do something of value to the best of your ability, whether it be service or merchandise. Better yourself and others with each precious day of your life. Care for those less fortunate. In a nutshell that is what America is all about. America is far more than just a place. It's a concept, and that concept is rooted in the fact that the individual is the highest in order, capable of self-rule, not dependent on the king and his rulers, not the government which serves primarily itself.
In further analysis you would see that you see everything as wrong, and everything that is wrong with you is someone else's fault. You are angry that other people accept the order of society and act within those boundaries and succeed. You are furious that people defined as in poverty by an arbitrary number are so numerous, yet you have no perspective that 85% of Americans in poverty are obese. In the rest of the world, poverty is closely tied to starvation.
NO, you are not calm, NO, you are sorely lacking in the rudimentary forms of logic. You are mad that other people have things, so mad you are willing to violently take it away from them. I'd say wake up, put away the X-box of your poverty and get a life.

youve already been lost to false narratives set by the elite, and theres not much i can do except tell you to wake up and stop blaming society's problems on yourself

do you think you deserved to spend 15 years of your youth living like shit because 'no one owes you anything'?
medicare for all means medicare for all, not medicare some particular group, our healthcare system is an incredible mess and we waste a billions on it every year because of the complexity of having too many different plans (and before you go off about 'muh choice' what better choice is there than everything's covered?), it needs to change and not leave out 27 million people because theyre poor

You know you don't work for minimum wage your whole life right? Unless you have drug or self discipline problems like not showing up for work. My grandparents were so poor when they got married, they built their house out of boards from a store that was being torn down for 10 cents a board, and they straightened the nails to use them. Then they lined the inside with newspapers and wheat paste to slow the wind down. After they started a family my grandfather had to quit his job shoveling out a dairy because he got drafted and was stationed all the way across the country on the East Coast. He was there for 6 months before they had enough money that his family could move and live off base before he got shipped off to Germany. He had a third grade education. I grew up in poor circumstances too, I went totally deaf when I was 3 or 4, and my parents didn't know it because I had taught myself how to read lips. My Dad was the first in his family to go to college, so our fortunes improved. They didn't own a color tv until 1993. And you are lacking what?
You clearly don't understand what medicare for all is. You get the cheapest care possible. And if a bureaucrat in Washington DC is making your health decisions, rest assured they'll make sure their pension is funded first. We have the best healthcare in the world, that's why all the national healthcare leaders come here.
You honestly don't expect a pallet full of money every month because you graduate from college, right? You don't learn much of what you need to know for a career in school, it used to be a foundation for learning how to learn. You get trained on the job and it takes time to gain experience. Want to put yourself ahead of the curve for your generation? Stop complaining, understand that you have to earn what you get, learn that you are free to control your circumstances, -the government isn't controlling it all yet. Figure out, nobody owes you anything, then apply yourself to be the best you can be at whatever place you find yourself and watch your fortunes grow. Nobody cares about you more than you do.
For what it's worth, I've been in the poverty level and in the top 5% earners 3 times. Nothing is easy.

What if I told you you don't know jack s**t about MediCare? SInce I'm receiving it, I figure I'm qualified to comment. Do you? I receive the same medical care that I did prior to turning 65, through the same clinics, from the same doctors. Since you don't even know that, I won't bother responding to the rest of your cat vomit.

LOL. No, just smart enough to live in CA, and go to a chain of clinics that specializes in low income patients and underserved areas, that's supported in large part by federal grants. And thanks for identifying the primary problem with a for profit medical system, the bottom line is more important than people's lives. But by god, we have to outlaw abortion. And Bernie can't buy billionaires. No shite. But billionaires can buy our government. The Donald bought it on credit, Bloomberg wants to buy it out of his petty cash fund, they both need to FOAD.
