So you want your DR, RX's, gas, movies, food, utilities, haircuts, insurance, and ceo salaries to go up again?



Doubling the minimum wage will cause a ripple effect through out the pay scales.  What happens to the guy who's already making $15 an hour?  He's pissed because it took a lot of work to increase his pay to that level, and all of the sudden he's making minimum wage again.  So he goes up to $22/hr, and the guy already making $22/hr is pissed because his seniority now means nothing - he gets a raise to $29/hr and the guy already making $29/hr is pissed......it goes on and on.  If you raise the wage at the bottom - you have to raise the wage all the way up.



How will businesses handle that sort of cost increase?  They have only two choices - fire employees or increase prices.  If their employee prices double, the likely scenario is that they fire half of their employees. With half the employees, it creates a shortage of goods and services.  Scarcity causes prices to rise.



Congratulations, you've doubled the minimum wage - and half the workforce lost their jobs AND you get to pay more for goods and services!

and he sounds like shrek.

but most importantly,he lays things out in a way that anyone can easily understand.

Minimum wage is for children getting their first job.  Mommy and daddy don't charge for rent or food, taxes on minimum wage are very little, driving moms car, on moms insurance.....



Mommy and daddy buy their clothes, and they're free to spend their money on video games.



If you reach adulthood and are still making minimum wage, there are organizations to help people with mental disabilities.



If you have developed any kind of skill, you can get more than minimum wage.  Two years out of High School I was making 3x minimum wage in a machine shop doing shipping and receiving.  I learned Excel (which was brand new at the time), and that's what got me in the door.  Any marketable skill gets you paid.



If you have no marketable skills and you're not in high school, you aren't trying.

Minimum wage is a starter wage.  It's not meant to be a living wage.  There's a reason the cheese is on the side of the burger - because minimum wage employees are morons.



You get your first job and you don't make jack shit - because you're worthless and have no skill.  You learn some responsibility, you gain some skills, you gain some references - and you get a better job.



I made $4.25 an hour until I had experience to get a better job - it's a starter wage, you aren't doing anything worth $15 an hour.

Compared to the amounts paid to the rest of the employees in an organization - no.  If all employee pay doubled - that would put most companies out of business.



I've been a business owner for over a decade, and when I entered the workforce I was homeless.



You can bitch and moan about how much the CEOs make - but at the end of the day, you sound like a whiny baby.  You want the reward without putting in the work.

So the $100 a week is too much to pay to have the office cleaned. I am sure you arent above having your illegal that cleans your house and yard clean your office too, no way are you above that!

Every reputable business owner supplies cleaning. 

Do they have to pitch in on toilet paper too

What I make is none of your business - but be aware that I wrote 100% of the software that is the core of my business.  I could easily operate with no employees....I did for years.



$100 a week for a cleaning crew, or - everyone is responsible for the messes they make.  I've seen what people do to cleaning crews - they make messes because they know they won't have to deal with it.  When you're responsible for your own mess, you're much more considerate.  If you feel embarrassed by a messy office - you'll take out your own trash and vacuum your own floor.  I clean my own office, I vacuum my own floor.

Someone that creates jobs should get more than his employees. You sound like a sniveling commie. We're not talking about Bezos here. And we've seen what happens when the minimum wage gets too high. Mom and Pop stores shut down. Hours are cut. Breaks are cut. Companies bring in automation and let workers go. Not every business is Wal-mart.

At what point is enough for CEO salaries? Is 2700 times what their average worker makes enough, is it 3000? 10,000 times or is there no limit. But an hourly wage hike is too much- you're silly!

As of right now, if the Board of Directors of any given company are the ones who pay the CEO.IF a CEO increases the value of a companies stock, they pay him commensurate to match. If the stockholders of the company don't like the salary paid to the CEO, they can elect new members to the Board of Directors, and they may, or may not lower his salalry. 



As Michael Ray so eloquently indicated, their are consequences for what you and other idiots like you propose.
