So, why did the judge in the Stone case end up sentencing Stone to just about what Barr said was fair for the type of crimes for which he was convicted? NOT the 8 to 9 years the corrupt former prosecutors had asked for?

I didn't realize people could be this clueless. Hopefully you're just a troll and not actually that stupid.

@Chanon - you're welcome to agree or disagree but I find your comment confusing. Not sure who it is directed at, and if at me, what in particular do you object to? What do you think and why?

They only think whatever Trump tweets. Nothing else.

Spying troll. I finally saw that movie. The opening credits were a real eye opener.

You got to watch more than the opening credits, then.

Also, spying troll? If I'm a spying troll what are you? A snide sniper? No one is trolling here unless you DO believe everything he tweets. And if you don't, well aren't you a naughty little Trump Supporter.

The truth of the matter is, if no one tows the party's line, they're a RINO, a traitor, a spy, or a troll. That just isn't my personal cup of tea, if you know what I mean.

Those are slim pickings on what constitutes a good Trump supporter. Personally, I think anyone who's standing in his teams way is a problem. I'll change that opinion in 2024, but first Trump needs to wipe the slate clean.

I also know he lies. My favorite is the caravan stuff. Cui bono. Intelligence is a dirty game.

See, though. That's where Trump Supporters lose me. When people say he's anti-establishment or gonna "wipe the slate clean" or "drain the swamp" it sounds just as phony as Obama's "change"

Yes, reform always sounds better than incumbent, unless you vote in local elections. However, to me it's all bullshit. And when people can't take criticism, whether it be petty or critical, like Trump, I see that as weakness.

Renegotiated trade deals, Assault on the UN, no new wars, best US economy ever, more resignations and new judges than any president ever, and FISAgate hasn't even started yet. What does wiping the slate clean mean to you?

I'm a conservative. I don't want the slate "cleaned". What you call Assault on the UN and no new wars, I see bad foreign policy. Make nice with dictators and piss on our allies. I find the resignations and more new judges troubling. That doesn't sound like doing away with corruption. It's just the opposite. More than that, they are the illusions of accomplishment. Meant to make the President look like he's doing something.

It's nice to see some quality spin again. Imgflip may be a troll nest, but at least there's some brain power here.

I'll play, but only because I'm bored and I want to.

So you want more of the same? You want to keep our clearly corrupt politicians in power? You want the country to continue its downward spiral into debt hell?

The debt sky rocketed under Bush, and doubled again under Obama. We lost the 4th amendment with the patriot act and gave Obamas government the power to arrest people who didn't pay for their neighbors "healthcare". I could keep going but you already know. More of the same means less freedom every year. There's nothing conservative about allowing our rights to slowly slip away.

You want us to keep paying the bills for countries that don't like us at the UN? You want us to abide by rules like the Paris Accord whose namesake wouldn't even follow them?

They aren't our allies. They're just countries where our debt lords reside. We've been at war with almost all of them at some point. Hell, Macron wanted the EU to start forming a military to fight Russia, China, And the USA. Doesn't sound like an ally to me.

You want us to continue the wars in the Middle East? To what end?

I'm out of time but it's been fun. I'm out of practice. The normies on FB are too easy to politic at. Maybe I should lurk here for a while to sharpen up again. Imgflip makes a good grindstone.

"So you want more of the same?"

No, stability is not wanting more of the same.

"You want to keep our clearly corrupt politicians in power?"

You do realize that Donald Trump and the people he's put in power are corrupt, right?

"You want the country to continue its downward spiral into debt hell?"

No, and cutting medicaid, medicare, and social security isn't going to fix it. Actually taxing the rich is. Sorry, but that's where we are at. If we don't do it, our country won't exist in a few decades if not less.

"There's nothing conservative about allowing our rights to slowly slip away."

I agree. So it just seems counterproductive to support the current Republican regime that continues to advocate the taking of those rights away.

Um, Russia isn't our ally right now. In fact, they've pushed harder on globalization in the last 15 years so I'm not too keen on them retaking Soviet countries while they continue to interfere in the elections of their adversaries. It's a serious problem and ignoring it is dumb.

I am against continuing war in the middle east and paying off countries. And I mean all of them. Not just all of them but Israel. I'm not against nationalism on the idea of putting America First, but even though that is Trump's stated policy, it's not. Instead, it's taking advantage of the fact that Democrat foreign policy has been superior in the last 30 years to Republican foreign policy. Turning it political by seeking out allies in unlikely countries that usually get the rough shoulder from our "good" foreign policy attempts. Forgetting about the fact that it's all ready been tried, and failed, multiple times, to ally with North Korea, Russia, Israel, and China. Letting them get away with it while holding our other allies to a higher standard is dumb foreign policy.
