At least acknowledging the truth and USUALLY abiding by it is something. Many politicians flat out lie all the time. Even when called out on it they ignore the truth or double down on the lies with more lies. When shown the truth they ignore it. This has spread from the politicians to their followers. Not supporters....followers. With blind allegiance they repeat whatever falsehood their leaders spew. It’s a cult like mentality.

I believe you are reading something into the meme which is not there. It's called hypocrisy towards their own beliefs and agenda that they push rather than an admittance by the meme maker.

Every living human being makes an impact on the environment — some more than others — but only one party is trying to do something about that.

Private jets are a flagrant waste and should be taxed rather than handed tax breaks as they currently are. That said, Bernie Sanders has also been a notable user of public transport on the campaign trail. But between his Senate duties during Impeachment and crunch-time in Iowa I could see him needing a plane right now.

Party and politics has nothing to do with it and will never solve so called global warming where the governing want to confiscate money from the governed in order to create some solution. It's the thousands of corporations who invest in social responsibility that have and will continue to make the impact. Just like nothing will happen to cut emissions in India and China til the money drivers, meaning the businesses, put controls in place.

Corporations love to tout their environmental credentials but most of them are just doing it for the good PR. That’s a practice called “greenwashing.”

I welcome all the private innovation that is being channeled toward this issue, but greenhouse gases continue to rise every single year. I would love it if innovation spontaneously solved this problem but it’s not something we should count on.

At a bare minimum, we need to eliminate the tax breaks for coal and other dirty energy sources that distort the market in favor of pollution. As well as tax breaks for private jets, etc., which I already mentioned above.

If we could implement a greenhouse gas tax that correctly priced air pollution (a solution favored by Milton Friedman, considered a staunchly conservative economist), so the market could figure it out and adjust, then that would help a lot too.

Take some of these steps, and we could get this climate issue solved without having to outright ban anything.

It's not that we hate jets. It's that democratic candidates SAY they want to do stuff for the environment, but they act in such a carbon-intensive manner.

All this shows is that there is “climate hypocrisy” on both sides. Which is pretty much exactly the point I already made by bringing Trump into this, and is why this isn’t a great way of looking at the problem.

The better way to look at the problem is to consider which party actually acknowledges the problem and is trying to do something about it.
