think of it this way:

does this automatically mean trump is racist?

To be fair, I haven't seen anything shady about Project Veritas in the couple years I've seen it but that's a claim made for something before. It has been used to discredit everything since but I doubt he wouldn't be sued bigtime if it was manipulated now but most of what I've seen is other peoples own words. We know that Jeff Zucker dictates talking points to his staff through PV.

Well, it IS usually a bs tactic but this guy also said the rich should be guillotined. I'd think Russia honeymooning Sanders would want to distance himself from comments like that, especially with his admiration for communism and that political party's penchant for actually killing the rich throughout history. Is that holding him to a higher standard? I suppose it irks me because if a Trump staffer said it, it would be 24 hour headline news and with this, it's silence, besides the few conservative outlets.
