For the most part that may be true, but remember there are always exceptions to every statement.

You are not the exception. You are not three days away from being a millionaire. Unless you win a lottery.

And if your plan to become a millionaire is to win the lottery- you're an idiot. That's a bad plan.

Three months. Not days. And it's still a bad plan.

Actually there’s a couple of guys, you can watch them tonight, that are 3 months away from becoming millionaires. I have already became a millionaire, though it took 32 years of hard work and great investments. Much longer than 3 months, but the end result is the same

"There are many people who are three good months away from being millionaires. "

Who? Lottery players? I mean sure....many of them become millionaires and they ARE alive 3 months before it happens.

right...I get it. Yes.....those that eventually become millionaires are in fact 3 months away from it....at some point. Specifically 3 months from the day they become millionaires.

Fact is WAAAAAAAY more people are much closer to bankruptcy than being millionaires.

By the way- The Ayn Rand thing is great until people need to rely on society. Like Ayn Rand when she took Social Security. Of course if she ONLY took out what she put in plus interest there'd be an argument in her favor. But I am guessing she took out far more than she paid in.

Uh-huh..... it took three months for Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, Paul Allen, John D. Rockefeller, Andrew Carnegie (sp), Cornelius Vanderbilt, Henry Ford, Warren Buffet, John Jacob Astor, J Paul Getty, Thomas Edison to become millionaires..... sure..... sounds legit.

If you live in the moment, you die in the moment, and that's where many choose to live. That's on them. Smart people plan.

Classic conservative; the Poor's are poor because they are dumb. I am smart and therefore won't be poor.

Three bad months. That's it. Get hurt and lose your job? The crushing medical debt- even with your "amazing insurance" you will go into debt paying for your recovery.

No I won't. Because I've been putting back money since I was 20...like I was taught. If I lost my job today I I would be fine for about 3 years, more if I took unemployment...and I'm not rich at all, just prepared. I have basic health insurance that has out of pocket caps just like most people. Also, I've been in a position of not having insurance for over 12 years. During that time we just made minimum payments on medical bills to keep accounts active and never got denied for any medical services. This has nothing to do with being a conservative unless you're saying liberals don't know how to do this. It was my Brother and Sister-in-law (both Democrats) that taught me this lifestyle, so, I guess you're going to bash on them too.
Living within your means is the key. People bitching about being broke while texting on iphones and driving cars they financed to schools where they maxed out federal loans are idiots. My money goes into my house, not stupid investments like cars. When I buy a car, it's at least 11 years old and paid for in cash. I've never spent more than 7,000 on a vehicle and have always had reliable transportation.
I've been poor before, so I know the struggle. But I left, by dropping the vices and pinching pennies. The people I left are there largely due to their own poor choices and I don't pity them at all.

Living in what means? If you work 40 hours a week, regardless of you should be able to afford a dignified life. Plain and simple. Food, shelter, clothing, TV, transportation, healthcare and savings etc. Nothing extravagant....just a basic LIFE.

Nowhere in the country does 40 hours a week at minimum wage even allow someone to afford rent.

Many people work multiple jobs, way over 40 hours a week and can't afford to live the most basic of lives. They certainly are not lazy. Low unemployment means nothing if the jobs pay crap wages.

I know, I know..."get a better job." Yeah, yeah....it's that easy.

You see? The Poors are poor because they're terrible people. It's their fault they were born into poverty. It's their fault their bosses pay them the same as they would have been paid in 1978.
