I made that meme a couple years ago, and to my knowledge, that was not actually a real campaign, but a fake petition passed around as a social experiment.

The scary part, obviously, is that some people actually signed it.

Actually one time, this guy at a karaoke jokingly made it a "non-color-specific Christmas." To be fair, in that version he also wrote, texted, and emailed Christmas cards.
