Is anyone else noticing the recent rise in young kids on Flip, or is that just me? If so, what do you think about it?

My opinion: I don’t like it. Kids ages 5-9 shouldn’t be on Imgflip. Imagine if they found the politics stream and started posting about why Minecraft is better than Fortnite instead of mature political debate. What if they don’t know what NSFW means, and they click it accidentally. This is a great way to find the boobs, butt, and sex jokes stream.

Not only that, I find memes and comments made by these children to be annoying, as none of them relate to the meme itself

I hate the "Minecraft good, Fortnite bad lol" memes because the punchline has gotten so old and repetitive. I hate how they get upvotes on such uncreative and unfunny memes...

I'm around that we've range,and I think kids that age should just stick to the normal stuff...and dark humor

We are not the police of Imgflip. If they want to use it and abide by the rules, not much you can do about it. There are plenty of memers that post what I would consider drivel, but if it makes them happy, who I am to tell them no? I can simply ignore them if I find them too annoying or take a brake a break as most young memers tend to lose interest and move on quickly.

I agree, it's freaking annoying. I tend to just avoid scrolling the new memes in "fun" since the content is so dang immature and yeah, all Fortnite and Minecraft. (Page 1 of "Hot" in the fun stream is at least always good for a laugh)

But, hey, they haven't had life experience yet... what else are they gonna meme about? They're not going to become top-notch political debaters overnight or have a sense of awareness of the irony and situational comedy that appeals to adults.

I have a whole new stream now dedicated to sex (shameless plug: imgflip.com/m/SexStream), where I necessarily post and feature mature content. There are plenty of adults on this site, too, and I don't think the fact that there are kids here is a strong reason to self-censor
