This quote (almost for itself) explains one part of a Pro-Lifer's perspective:

Take out slavery and chains, and add in FINANCIAL PROSPERITY.
Is life so dear, or peace so sweet, as to be purchased at the price of financial prosperity?
This is a Pro-Abortion argument (wanting to pursue financial prosperity rather than having a child): the argument is: "Women, and women of color, are poor and cannot handle another child. What if the husband has to work two full-time jobs and so does the mother((to earn money))? Will you make a couple have to deal with another baby!? (Notice the usage of the word "couple," not "family")This is a deeply perturbing argument, but you can answer with this question:
"Should we allow parents to kill their children when they get expensive?" The Pro-Abortion person (possibly your friend) will say:
"No way!!"
You: "Why not?"
Possible friend (prob-abort person): "Because children are humans, and you can't kill humans!!"
