I dont think people have a general tendency to hate themselves, but there are some that do. I think that those who lack forgiveness are more inclined to hate than others. Whether that's forgiving someone else, or forgiving themselves, forgiveness is a cure for hatred.

Part of it could be as simple as the chemicals in your brain are different. My nephew is Bi-Polar. His brain flips from feeling great to very self destructive in moment. Thank God for his current girlfriend (she's a nurse), she keeps him focused and taking his meds that stop him from falling into the self destructive mode.

It's illegal in Germany. I think that angle will be push. Even 10 years ago, the UN was pushing for kids to be in daycare and indoctrinated by age 2.

I wouldn't doubt it. Remember those people who abused their 12 kids? I'm certain there were people who wanted to use it to slight homeschooling.

Also because people have it so good and easy now. If you lived 200 years ago and saw half your siblings die before adulthood, you'd learn to appreciate when times were good.

Because they realize they missed a lot of the chances that could have made them great and can't see that there are more chances.
