My grandfather was there. First he served in the Army, then he served in the Air Force.

My entire family supports Trump. Young, old, male, female, veterans - and especially the ones who are still on active duty.

Both my grandparents served in the Pacific Theater and may not have survived WWII if not for the atom bomb. I'm thankful for their service. One of them is still alive and healthy in his mid-90's. I have other veterans in my family, too -- some do support Trump, some don't.

It's noteworthy there are two veterans (Gabbard and Buttigieg) running for the 2020 Democratic nomination. We are all Americans, and military people just like civilians get to have an opinion either way.

What gets on my nerves is the notion from the right-wing that only Trump/Republicans have a monopoly on patriotism.

Well, the left seems to have adopted the slogan that "America was never great" and that sort of pisses off patriots. It's not the sort of thing you'd ever hear a patriot say.

Which part of "I left the church" isn't sinking into your neuron? I'm out, completely out for more than 25 years. I own a bible still, that's it. I don't even own any religious symbols....no cross, no painting of Jesus, I don't pray over my meals.... I have knowledge, my own version of faith, and a heaping distrust of my fellow man.
