Nuking two cities is not something be proud of, it was a necessary evil but it does not make you great.

The war in the pacific is played out in Hollywood, the biggest land battles were fought between the British Commonwealth and the Japanese through India and Burma and where the Japanese suffered their greatest land defeat. Iwo Jima in comparison was a pissing contest.
