If we go into mexico we enhance OUR security....and if the corrupt and weak mexican govt takes money instead of cartel bodies then f em hard. They send us their people because they detest their people but want their money. Drone the cartels to hell...they gonna pulla pancho villa and invade? Good then we send in the marines like we did 100 years ago and maybe this time we dont give them back their land and we develop it for our benefit and the people of Mexico...how much better would their lives be if Mexico was another us state...

I think users are more like "addicts"

My point is that, were it not for Americans using, there would be no cartels. To me it seems hard to blame this problem on people who simply see an opportunity to feed a glutton.

I think those are real problems, but we have to triage. Illegal drugs are a higher priority.

A big part of that problem, artificial sweeteners and and things like rbgh. Banned substances in the U.K. but used here.

I'm forced to agree. The American demand for drugs is a factor to be considered. It isn't just that the cartels are evil moneymakers. Americans tend to associate drug use with liberty and independence, and it is being against us. Talk about chemical warfare.

When US states began legalizing MJ, many Mexican growers switched to poppies. A fair amount of heroin comes across the southern border. As for fentanyl, most does come from China, but lately some has started to come from the south as well. This, according to a DEA presentation we had at work.
