Don't forget Colorado.. californian expats have been turning it more and more blue every year. Only thing keeping us from going off the cliff like they have is republican legislation that forces the state to keep a more or less balanced budget - and tax increases have to go to the ballot. The dems have been trying to kill the taxpayer bill of rights here for years but so far even most left-leaning voters have told them to f**k off. Tax increases almost always get shot down at the polls which means the left can't implement all the nonsense policies they want.
