First comment in my entire time on Imgflip other than me that has been asking for citations.

Usually I don’t ask for a source. I don’t fault people from mistating facts, but I do try to correct them where they may be wrong. Most facts can be corroborated by some kind of source. Redactions happen as humans are fallible. It’s no reason to abandon trust in the media. Bias narratives, aside of course, are easy to spot and should be avoided. That doesn’t mean every “negative” article about a politician or political leader is bias tho.

But! When people continuously deny major news sources because they don’t always construct a narrative that’s conducive to someone’s political leader, I got to wonder where they get their source.

You didn’t answer my question.

What is your source?

The part where you didn’t reveal your source.

It’s easy to dismiss anyone’s source.

It’s even easier to state what it is.

Odd that you can not.

If he/she gave you facts and citations from only conservative media would you even believe him/her? Or would he/she have to get it from both sides to be believable? All news organizations are biased and all news organizations have and will fabricate or hide news to meet their agenda. Why? Because those organizations are owned, run, and operated by biased individuals who are targeting a specific audience rather than doing real investigative journalism anymore.

Would you discredit facts and citations from me if I only gave liberal media? Not that I follow MSM or CBS. CNN, yeah, sometimes. Same with Fox.

What if I told you that I already answered most of these questions in this very meme? Scroll up.

You're defending someone who says the media is no longer a credible source purely because it doesn't follow a single person's narrative. I acknowledge that the media can be compromised but just because a thing is not infallible doesn't mean it is always invalid.

True. I am not defending anybody. It is more of a question of who can we believe if we are getting differing stories on the same subject from different news organizations. It seems that nowadays the only thing you can trust is what you can see and/or hear with your own eyes. And then that only half the time.

Yes, and if you have someone irrationally discrediting every source that does not fit that narrative, it's rational to question their source.

Here is one example of fake news. At least Newsweek is trying to clean up its act. We will see.

I’m not dismissing fake news. I’m dismissing the notion that fake news is purposeful. Human error happens, it’s no reason to extinguish a source as completely not credible. Certainly you can say that credibility is scalable or even fluctuates. But that is not what the OP is doing.

Again, those who dismiss ALL media as FAKE, should submit what sources they believe to be reliable.
