Been trying to get right again. Mom died on us and as a result I got handed a bit of responsibility that I am struggling with. It's just a tough time at the moment. I come back in now and then but my mojo feels broken.

Thats happened before

Hope you're doing ok. I know the holidays can be hard when you've just lost a loved one.

Thanks! It is difficult. My family has never been close, but you know it sad to see so many passing away so fast. My mom and I had just began speaking again about 3 years ago. The hardest times are when for just a split second you forget they're gone. Then a split second later you remember.

I understand. I just lost my uncle and Godfather and attended his funeral last week. Not the same as a parent but he was my closest relative since we spent just about every thanksgiving together. Praying for you and your family.

I am so sorry for your loss. Right here at the holidays too. I know that's difficult. Last Thanksgiving my Uncle (who had been fairly ill for a good 15 years ) went into the hospital on Thanksgiving and passed a few days later. My aunt really struggled with the holidays this year. Something about losing them in or around the holiday season darkens all holidays that follow. Prayers for you and yours.

My Dad passed on Christmas Day a couple years ago. My Mom had already gone to Heaven, and I figured she was going to clobber my Dad for ruining the holiday.
Truth is, it made Christmas even MORE special to us ‘kids’.
It made that particular Christmas tough, but I think of Dad and smile for being a ‘Christmas Angel’.
Our family is tight, and our parents gave us lots of love. The holidays were always a good time and we would go visit my grandparents houses. Houses full of warmth and love. I get a feeling of belonging when I’m with family still, especially with my sisters, since we have always been one family.
