Exactly.

Indulgence has replaced guidance.
Instant gratification has replaced consequence.
Irresponsibility has replaced conscience.

The quest for individual expression and fulfillment has ironically lead to the production of hollow plastic mannequins devoid of soul.

random insult toward the parents, wouldn't be kids or tech fault. Pretty basic, you got to put in the time to expect results. Vaga said it well

Yeah, but I bet that f**king kid didn't force anyone to accept him as a dinosaur, and didn't ruin lives of those who didn't. And yes, I assumed his gender based on who plays with dinosaurs, and only had two choices.

Yes, forcing people to conform to deluded point of view that a trans-woman is a woman. If I reject advances of a 'woman' with a p**is, I am a bigot, transphobe, homophobe, blah blah... and should lose my job/contracts/sponsors blah blah some more...
Recently, feminists have stated that if a lesbian rejects a 'woman' with a p**is, they too are blah blah blah. I spoke to lesbians I know about this and they were firm on the fact they don't even use d**dos with their partners, let alone accept a dick of any kind, no matter what the 'body' with a dick claims to be.

Dude, a six yo can vote, drink, drive a car, have consensual sex, refuse to go to school, smoke and go to war. How dare they not have the right to decide to be castrated or take hormone blockers that will effect them for life!?!?!?!?!?!?

My point is a six yo doesn't have the mental capacity to decide the course of the rest of their life. Are you being purposively obtuse?

If a child is so anguished and in pain for not having parts nature hasn’t provided, its abuse not to get them physiological help to heal, so they can be comfortable for who and what they naturally are. Mental illness needs to be taken seriously and not placated.

Sorry but not in MY lifetime! Lol! My parents would have, with much compassion, sought psychological help which was a mature science by then to deal with the problem. But then again, that is probably a significant factor as to why dysphoria is on the rise, lack of nurturing and constructive parenting.
2 ups, 5y,

the reason dysphoria is on the rise is because now people are paying attention to it

Its not that simple...breakdown in family values, social conventions (i.e. community), personal responsibility, political pandering, welfare systems that more and more encourage folks to not pursue constructive purpose in their lives...and as already addressed, a willingness to turn a blind eye to mental illness.

"breakdown in family values, social conventions (i.e. community), personal responsibility"

common virtue signaling tactic

"political pandering, welfare systems that more and more encourage folks to not pursue constructive purpose in their lives"

yes, the political pandering to trans people exists, but it exists now. it didn't exist back in 2014, while transgenderism was still a thing.

"willingness to turn a blind eye to mental illness."

calling transgenderism a mental illness is another way of making it worse than it seems. yes, it is technically a mental illness, but like autism, it doesn't affect the individual in the worst of ways, and it cannot be treated or cured. in fact, the effects of gender dysphoria are not even as bad as the effects of autism.

Oh and transgender was well known long before Bruce went sensational for a buck. Back in the 80’s and early 90’s it was well reported that transgender surgery was being performed in places like Sweden and Colorado. The surgery was attempted before then but rarely due to reluctance by the medical community to support self-mutilation...but eventually...$$$.

transgenderism isnt a mental disability, they arent being disabled because of their identity, theyre just depressed and anxious because certain people arent willing to accept them for who they are because they dont like it

what is it with transphobes and describing transgender surgical procedures as 'chopping off' body parts? are people mutilating their abdomen and forever changing themselves when they shouldnt by getting their appendix removed? it's surgery. it's not some barbaric ritual that doesnt use anesthesia or anesthetic.

transphobia is just a mixture of two logical fallacies: wisdom of repugnance and appeal to nature. they constantly argue 'no no trans people arent legit because we were born this way' 'those surgeries are just chopping peoples body parts off it's barbaric'
1 up, 4y
Yeah, no mutilation at all.
