I'm not expecting much in the way of responses. I know a lot of you like to just come here and meme and troll. That's fine. But as an added bonus, I'm willing to upvote troll posts and memes here. But you give me a bit more of something on this guy, good or bad, history or current events, and I'll go back and upvote some of your memes. We'll say up to 5 pages.

It's not a trap. Though I imagine most Russian Trolls can't say much about Putin, then again, I kind of find it hilarious if they're paid to do so. :D I seriously doubt there are really any on this site.

He's a strong man. He wants Russia to be a World Power. But his nation was screwed up pretty well by 70 years of Communism. It should rebuild itself. Instead, he is looking to the Short Paths. And it will hurt them more than renewing Rule of Law, Christian Morality, and Deregulation.

But he isn't stupid, and he isn't as evil as the USSR was, or the ChiComs are.

I think it's important to recognize that Russia was screwed up before the 70 years of Communism to begin with. It's not really a nation that has ever had the infrastructure or organizational efficiency in place to operate without a strongman getting the resources to where they need to be.

That said, Canada is also a vast country with many of the same challenges to building infrastructure and organizing government and they have no need for strong men, so there's no real excuse.

("Strong men" in the sense of quasi-autocratic and oppressive leadership)

Considering Trudeau, Canada could use a Strong Man. (Strong Man in the sense of a man of great virtue and masculinity)

Looks virtuous and masculine to me, but that's the problem with words that pretty much mean whatever you want them to mean.

Thug. Shouldn't be in charge of anything let alone an entire country. The most hair-brained conspiracy theories you find on the internet are there for his benefit, but make no mistake, he's not a hero for standing against the international community - he's the exact tyrant that the USA was created to fight against.

He's an extremely savvy and articulate man who is awoken to the shenanigans of how the world is really run behind the scenes by economic interests. Which is also why Hillary as a tool of those interests could flip on him once he refused to hand the Russian Federation over to the central bankers.

Everyone says former KGB officer - but they never prefaced Bush senior with former CIA chief, the hypocrites. Ironically most of his time was low-level boredom getting nothing useful while he was stationed in East Germany. And yeah he's got some shady skeletons in his closet, but honestly no more than probably the vast majority of high-level US politicians. Why the double standard? I have no use for that.

He has a real love of his country, and a large majority of them as a result reciprocate. Ironically, I think he's also a closet Christian, which is fine if that's his thing.

I doubt you can believe 10% of what gets reported on him today here in the West. If you actually want to understand him, you need to go watch him speak in his own words. You'll probably find it kind of an eye opener.

I’ve heard people who’ve praised Trump then encouraged me to listen to him speak with his own words. Four years ago. I’ve been listening to Putin for over fifteen years. I told those people who praised Trump what I’m going to tell you about Putin.

I already have.

So have I. You solicited; I replied. If late to the post.

Convention is last word with the even-numbered party.

I do not object to your solicitation. Just letting you know that I’ve already done my personal research. Not to say that research has been concluded in anyway. He is a prominent world figure and I find it interesting to know other people’s perspectives.
