I'm happy to take the red pen to a meme, sure, but at the same time, our memes are not going to be read by diplomatic statesmen during delicate negotiations. Kim Jong Un isn't going to be tapped on the shoulder with an aide saying "hey, the Americans are putting this on the table when the cameras are on, but have you seen what SydneyB is saying about what's actually going on?"

We might spellcheck ourselves quickly before posting but the President should have three different people rewriting drafts of every communication he wants to send - and his Tweets have been ruled as official government communication.
