Was entertainment more fun, before you knew your favourite entertainer's politics? Care to share before & after?

I don't really follow celebrities on social media like twitter, insta, etc. I believe they have the same rights to vote and have an opinion on politics as everyone else. It does irk me however when they start meddling in politics having speeches at marches/protests, go on talk shows to bash or promote a political figure or candidate and fans vote or form their opinions based on what a celebrity said rather than doing the research themselves.

Well not really talking about following anyone..just speaking on watching their TV shows or movies listening to their music... Whether that experience is less enjoyable..or cancelled for you.

I teach preschoolers, and when I'm not doing that, I'm raising 4 toddlers at home. My entertainment is limited to Paw Patrol and Curious George, the wheels on the bus and board books. I have no life outside of a 4 year old mind. Lol. So I couldn't tell you the latest celebrity activities in movies, music or magazines.

I'll have to go with canceled but not for those reasons. ;)

My answer is yes, there are some celebrities that I wish would just keep their mouth shut. I used to like their movies, now I have a personal boycott on them because they wont stick to what they're good at...acting.

Yep, I liked De Niro before I realized he's a paedophile worried that he'd be exposed by Trump. I wasn't much of a fan of hollywood before Trump got in but now they are all showing their true bootlicking colors.

Yes. Sometimes they don't take a formal platform at a rally or with a PAC ..sometimes it's just in the writing of their show or movie.

Oh yeah...Better Midler, Robert De Niro, Stephen King, to name a few. I don't mind a celebrity showing support for a party, but when they get rabid and abusive to Americans that don't share their view, it has gone too far. King in particular perturbs me because 1. he has maligned our troops in uniform and 2. unlike many Hollywood celebs he is intelligent enough to know better. He has just let his inner hateful hippie think for him.

I've seen his hyperbolic over the top cartoons. He's no great artist but he's trying to get his art out there, which is cool because he's branching out. But he has certain cartoons that are purely hateful. Like mocking Sarah Sanders for her looks. And other low IQ deflections. Never will he criticize democrats, that I've seen.
