I think that polls are portrayed as a look into the future, when it's really just a rough estimate.

Although, to that 11/1/2016 poll's credit, Hillary DID win the popular vote... Barely.

Good point @ the popular vote. Since that can be irrelevant for the win due to the E.C. ..it kinda supports the idea that polls are not the best predictors

If I had a source for that info. I would. In general, when the results of polls are presented in the news that info is missing.
My questioning that is not a threat ..its simply about wanting to understand the context and critically think about their validity.
