I'd set water traps, look for low lying areas with vegetation and dig down to get to the water table. Making filters would be good too, ensuring any water found could be made safe, and start boiling all of it.

Actually I'd move back to my parents. They live on a beautiful farm near the Monocacy River, a 2,000 gallon cystern with a hand pump, private well on the property. Survival there would certainly beat here in the city where it's 100 degrees in October.

Did you know you can boil water in a plastic bottle? Also, super heating rocks in a fire and placicing them in your water will cause it to boil. Come on anytime, I'll have the water flowing and the BBQ rollin smoke, we'll have a party :)

Crazy the prices people will charge when the need is high. I remember during hurricane Harvey stopping at a gas station and seeing bottled water for $50 a case and people buying it. The owners were turned in for price guaging.
