In even the most liberal places of the country gun charges are dismissed or nolle prossed all the time. The attitudes of those who sell guns are also to blame, because many think that they can "just tell" if someone is a psycho or not. Shootings are a sophisticated multivariate issue that require something more than a simplistic "let's pass a law, that'll fix them" approach.

for a short while then let them out to do crime again like the pos Ricky Plotts i grew up with who robbed a bank, got 80 yrs, they let him out after a dozen or so and he said he was going to do it again, government didnt listen.
