History is history is history, you protect it or lose it.

Are roman statues not archeological? How about ancient greek? Are confederate statues not historical simply because you dislike their cause?

Romans killed and enslaved thousands of indigenous Europeans, but by all means, let's respect those Caligula and Julius Caesar statues and instead commit ourselves to destroying the Confederate ones. After all, indigenous Europeans were just white and therefore unimportant.
