No, as a Canadian, socialism is socialism. What's different is the degree to which it's implemented. Every modern civilization should have at least some small percentage of its economic policies defined by the socialism model, the trick is finding the right balance. But one thing is clear...

Look At other “socialist” countries for reference. Like Canada. Or Australia.

Canada is not (or was not) a socialist country, it is a constitutional monarchy, that functions somewhat similar to America's constitutional republic model.

Canada employed a small /degree/ of socialism in its policies, and was fairly well-respected for the balance it struck between its socialist and capitalist policies, but with Turdeau getting into office, the pendulum has swung too far towards socialism, and now we've become a global laughing stock.

hence my quotation marks on "socialist"....NO ONE wants to be like Cuba or Venezuela. Hell... China is doing OK and they are full on commies. What we have in the US is a Plutocratic Corporatocracy. Other countries are doing better than us in terms of overall quality of life for it's citizens. And they happen to ALL have "socialism" in some respect, far more than we have.

They are hybrid economies like all the examples always given like Denmark and Sweden.
