No, your partisanship is showing when you defend Trump over something that is indefensible.

NOT DEFENDING TRUMP DIPSHIT POINTING OUT,WHAT TO MOST PEOPLE,IS F**KING OBVIOUS | made w/ Imgflip meme maker
i don't partisan.
but i do point out:bullshit arguments, flaccid justifications and identity poltics dressed up as serious criticism.

what's your next big revelation?
that the US does not deal with:depsots, tyrants, autocrats and Islamic theocracies?
or that it is a bad idea for a sitting president to engage in diplomacy with "muzzies"?

go ahead...
try to make that case.
i dare you.
i double dog dare you dipshit.

sit your know-nothing pansy ass down.

"defend trump"
/snort...
now THAT is f**king funny

My position is that diplomacy is good, so talking with them is fine, behind the scenes in this case would make sense, but you don't have to bring them to Camp David to do so. That gives them an undeserved legitimacy, and elevates their status. Note my meme ripped on another meme that took Ilhan Omar out of context. And f**k off with the insults, you can defend your position without that.

but,fair enough.
i apologize.
i get pissy when people make assumptions, but considering where we are...fair enough.

and i really can't put too much of the blame on you.
this...talking point..has been going strong on corporate media.it is the "message of the day".

we took out the Taliban in 2001.
they now control over 50% of Afghanistan.
so..they are pretty legitimate.
they also hold the majority of the cards right now,and they know it.
they, along with the UN/US backed (and utterly ineffectual) installed government both are demanding a full withdrawal.
there are 4 points of contention.
one is they have agreed to not retaliate for..you know...blowing up their country, another is they demand a withdrawal date, and that is where the talks have been stuck at over the past 4..or is it 5..talks.

all the camp david invite really served was for political points.
that's it.
and the Taliban didn't accept the invite.
so we have to ask the question..
why is corporate media conflating the Taliban with 9/11?

nevermind that the Taliban,al qeada and osama bin laden were funded by the USA in the 80's and are pretty much responsible for their creation.
no mention how Pakistan took billions to "search for bin laden",when they knew exactly where he was.

no.

they make the argument, with fake outrage and pearl clutching.
how dare president trump invite the same people who harbored al qeada!
the audacity!
the nerve!
the unamericanness of it all!

they don't give a crap about any of that.
outrage and indignation makes them money.
fake outrage over a fabricated, and tenuous, conflation that amounts to political theater.
it is meaningless.

the only valid criticism would be trumps cynical ploy to score points by inviting the Taliban to camp david.that;s it.
it was the optics he was looking for,and he is really good with optics.

but until the US states a deadline for withdrawl.
the Taliban will continue to fight, and they have stated so publicly.

this is all political theater.praying on those who detest trump.

now we can still disagree, that is fine.
but let us keep our criticism honest.

Ok, not to change topics, but why did this whole thread get moved to "low rated comments". We had a bit of friction but dealt with it. Is it the swearing? Is this from moderators or from downvotes. I don't like it, leave our discussion out in the open for others to read.

not low rated for me.

and i agree with you.i prefer to have things out in the open.
really helps when you have more eyes on a situation to hash things out.

You can't simply dismiss all criticism of Trump as TDS. That's intellectually lazy. If you have an argument as to why you think it was okay for him to have invited the Taliban to Camp David - or maybe it was just a show so he could cancel the meeting, then go for it, but every criticism is not illegitimate.

Nothing but hate is intellectually lazy , the point I am making . Thanks .

while that is true, and even I sometimes think that the criticism of Trump can be unfair, at other times, from my side of the political aisle, it looks like no matter how vile the thing is that he does, his followers will back him up and not denounce it.

Because "we" didn't give into hatred.
Osama, if he saw the American government turn down innocent people because of their religion, would have even more cause and conviction to carry on his Islamic crusade. Perhaps even stronger. Trying to pin 9/11 on an entire religion is completely inconsiderate. Sure, Islam was a motivator for 9/11, but an attack on innocent lives is not what Islam is about. It's immorality under the conviction of something better. I do not deny 9/11 was an atrocity done by Islamic extremists, but nor do I want to judge people for the actions of things they did not do, and have no responsibility for.

Osama is responsible for the deaths of nearly 3000 people in the USA, he couldn't give two shits about "innocent" Moslems from countries he didn't even like being banned from becoming citizens in the land of the great infidel. Not like many from those broke broken countries were coming here or anywhere (note the similarities between them that separates them form other countries not on the list, including THE major sponsors of Islamic terrorism).

You're young, you have no memory of what the UK was like when I was your age. Paki bashing instead of Pakis raping. They took the abuse, now they dish it worse.
Meanwhile real British - from the land that birthed the National Front and neo-Nazi Skinheads - are somewhat taken aback about the Rotherham and other town rape gangs. But doing something against them is racist, yes? Which is why they got away with it in the first place.

Numbers. If you think it's all a matter of letting them settle in and giving them a cuddle, you are dead wrong. (Sadly pun may inadvertantly be intended). As their numbers grow, so does their arrogance. Their contempt for the UK, US, EU, and all the rest is out in the open. It's not going away one day because they realized us infidels are really swell guys.

You know what happened on 9/12/01? The IRA, ETA, PKK, and the rest like they all went MIA. Every. single. one. Eeeeeeexcept Islamic terrorists (the PKK is an ethnic liberation, not religious terrorist outfit).
Name a country where Moslems haven't gone on the rampage since then. I'll make it easy for you, Myanmar. That's it. True, Israel and China brutally oppress their Islamic populations, but those people do have terrorists in their ranks.
Meanwhile every country that has opened their arms to these 'simply misunderstood' Muslims have been subject to what in ever increasing frequency? Every. single. one.

Thinking it's a matter of doing away with prejudices and hatred is fair enough.
Problem is, when one group does that and the other doesn't, the results are a tad lopsided.
Let a scorpion on your bed and give it a hug, it will still sting you.
