Example: in spite of unemployment going down and an overall better economy, MSM wishes for a recession, saying we're "due for" one. The heck, you guys? Get over yourselves!

Video games today are more violent. What has that got to do with the country getting better? The economy is better, businesses are growing, wages are up, unemployment is down, more people are off of food stamps, racism is down. Yeah, it is getting better.

No, I don't think a game or any inanimate object can "cause" violence. That is something only a person can do.

However, if a person spends their whole life playing violent games, and they don't interact with society, it may alter their grasp of reality. They may devalue life or think that violence is acceptable, but that in itself doesn't cause violence.
