But still kind of a creep.

Yeah. I had every CD up to 6 years ago or so. I think they were the last great band.

I was no fan either. If they came out today, i'd be different but there was so much good stuff back then.

I have a list of bands I just never could get into. People always look at me like I'm crazy when I say I don't like certain ones, because it really seems almost everyone likes these guys.

Check this out. I simply DO. NOT. LIKE. PEARL JAM!

And yet, there was a Christian band out in the 90s called "Third Day" where the leader sounded so much like Pearl Jam lead singer Eddie Vedder! And I loved them! Go figure

We can high five on that Pearl Jam thing! I think they have ONE song that I really like. There could possibly be two songs, I just can't think of the other one right now. But yeah OVERRATED.

Third day = best Christian band.
In fact, their latest album, unlike other respectable christian bands (Skillet, Ashes Remain, Casting Crowns), actually maintains a high level of quality, it sounds very 60's rock/blues inspired.

I don't know if I think the are THE BEST, I guess it depends on what you like really. I have a lot that I like. I don't know that I have a real favorite.

Meeting two Christians in one conversation is a rarity!

I already know Beckett347 and PeeweePierre, but none else to memory. :)

atleast as far as you know. In most random comment threads you most likely wouldn't be able to tell if someone was a Christian or not.
0 ups, 1w
That is an astute answer I did not expect. :)

Usually I meet those who appear to, or claimed to be Christians but sooner or later discovered them to have a different Gospel (Galatians 1:6-9) or a different god (like the Jehovah's Witnesses, LDS, or Apostolics).

That makes this meeting all the more encouraging!

I dunno bout "overrated", but definitely not my cup o' tea.

They were too slow, really. Same thing with Collective Soul, although they had a couple of tunes I liked

Yes, there are. I don't listen to secular music anymore but do have my favorites. One of them is "Zombie" by the Cranberries

I'd hardly consider Michael Jackson mediocre. He was a music machine.
reply

That he was. But his music doesn’t hold up. It’s old, played out and doesn’t fit in the mix anymore. Billy Jean is the only good song he ever made. Prince, too. Doesn’t hold up.

Considering Michael Jackson's been dead over a decade, it's easy to assume his music doesn't fit today's industry. However, his music always morphed with the times, if you listen in timeline fashion.
