They went over the cliff at 150 mph. Unfortunately, there are a lot of Republican RINOs who think they are doing us a favor if they go over the very same cliff at only 125 mph.

I was diagnosed with Perthes disease when I was four. After I got out of the body cast they told me that I would need hip replacement some day (probably in my 20's or 30's), but to put it off as long as I could. I put it off more than fifty years, but around Christmas last year my hip told me it was done and I saw an orthopedic surgeon after the first. I had a total hip replacement on January 28th. I'm not here to argue dollars and cents (I'm actually here to chew bubblegum and mock, and I'm all out of bubblegum), but at the risk of sounding selfish I doubt I would be walking right now if I had Medicare For All instead of my employer funded insurance.

Take it easy. :-)

how's the hip now?
long recovery time?
I have a friend who just found out she needs a replacement and she is terrified.

Howdy back! Much better, but still not 100%. Nothing to be terrified of, if your friend needs it she should get it. My surgery was first thing in the morning and I was out of the hospital that night. We live in a two story house (bedrooms upstairs) and I was able to make it upstairs the first night. I was on a walker about three weeks and then a cane for a couple of months. The doctor prescribed a painkiller (oxycotton or oxycodone, I always get them mixed up), but other than one pill in preop I didn't take any (a lot of Tylenol though). I was back to work (construction) in three months (although I'm not in the field). The doctor told me that I might not be walking normally until September and I thought that was funny as I haven't walked "normally" since I was three. Anyway, although I'm still recovering, it was definitely worth it. I'd be happy to answer any questions your friend might have.

Its been a long time since I watched that movie. But didn't they make it?

It's been a long time since I've seen it to. I don't think they show it, but I think it's implied that they don't make it (like Butch and Sundance)
