Gamecock | I BECAME A GAMECOCK | image tagged in gamecock | made w/ Imgflip meme maker
It's not really political, but it may as well be here in SC. I went into engineering school with a neutral bias towards schools, maybe even leaning a little more towards Clemson so I went to an open house there when deciding where to enroll. The heads of the engineering school there gave me every freaking reason why I should not go there, basically told me not to apply without actually saying it. So, I went down to USC and they did the exact opposite, told me exactly what I needed to do to enroll, what courses I needed to have under my belt before a transfer the next semester, and what credits I would need to graduate all the way down to planning my entire school career and how it should look to graduate quicker. So, guess who's a gamecock now? And I really could care less about football or sports in general, so who cares if our team sucks.

I used to be a full Democrat, even campaigned for Obama in 2012. In 2013, music imo started getting shittier so I switched over to talk radio, specifically Rush Limbaugh. Rush did a good job of explaining his point of view so even though I disagreed with him, I still kept listening. At this time, the Democrat party started its shift to the far left. Since I was listening to more conservative viewpoints, I did move closer to the right, which meant with the Democrats moving farther left, I was pretty much cast out of the party. I was still pretty liberal though, so when the 2016 primary season rolled around, I was supporting Bernie Sanders while listening to a bit of what Trump had to say. What made me officially switch over to the Republicans was when the DNC rigged the primary for Hillary. I already did not like how corrupt Hillary was by that point and with Bernie getting rigged out of the nomination, I saw that my only option left was to get behind Trump. I wasn't a Donald Trump supporter, but he started moving pretty close on the political spectrum to where I was and has stayed there throughout his presidency, so I haven't thought of going back to the Democrats since.

There ARE other candidates representing other political parties. The DNC & RNC are part of the same corrupt machine (note how the Demz keep going along with Repub wishes for the sake of 'future coooperation' and are yet to do anything contrary to Trump other than make some mild noise). The drive to push for Hillary was excused as an appeal to the GOP base.

While I am no fan of either party, at least the RNC didn’t rig their primary. If the DNC didn’t have their rigged system, I believe we would be discussing President Sanders instead of Trump. I’m not sure where you’re getting that Democrats are going along with Republicans though. From everything I’ve seen, both parties have done nothing but keep everything in gridlock. The reason Republicans are going along with the Trump agenda is because if you’re a conservative or libertarian, Trump has most of the policies you’re looking for

The GOP isn't rigging it now, even outright cancelling primaries in some States to not risk Trump winning next year?

The gridlock is for supposed Democrat proposals that never seem to ever go anywhere because they're too busy being so incredibly 'worried about upcoming elections.' The Do-Nothing Congress was honest in its mission to do nothing but screw Obama.

With Republican initiatives, the Dems have a delightful habit of going along for the sake of 'civility.' Nancy 'But I Don't Wanna Impeach Him Now' Pelosi, Chuck 'Got Congress By the Balls Over DACA WIth The Gov't Shutdown But Let's Leave It For Some Other Time' Schumer, Bill 'Don't Twist My Arm, I'll Sign It' Clinton... Heck, the Dems offered Trump $1.65 billion for the Mexican Wall, Repubs offered him $0.

The GOP is not going along with Trump, he's going along with them. They're using him. He's that simple minded doofus in hs that his classmates use because he's got a rich daddy.
Other politicians have reelections, legacies, and a general dislike of prison time to consider. Trump is the Golden Goose - an impulsive narcissistic megalomaniac with no concern other than today's Happy Meal toy. He'll take the risks they won't because he has no concept of tomorrow. Massive tax cuts for the wealthy, deregulations, flagrantly sidestepping gov't intitutions and law, consolidatng power of the Presidency... They throw the base some candy - anti-abortion, no trannies in the Military to tempt their sons... and they lap the rest up like dutiful hound dogs.

“How does an idiot moron like Trump win?” Ask Hillary why. According to everyone including myself back then, Hillary had the election in the bag, but she was such a terrible candidate that she lost rust belt pro union states like Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania that literally everyone called “a big blue wall”. I will fully admit that Trump is boorish and mean, but if it means not having to go along with Hillary’s no fly zone in Syria or all her corporate sponsors, I can deal with a few mean tweets.

Last year, Pennsylvania Republican House Leader Mike Turzai (R-PA) admitted that voter identification efforts were designed to suppress Democratic votes, telling a Republican Steering Committee meeting that Voter ID “is gonna allow Governor Romney to win the state of Pennsylvania, done.”

Romney ended up losing the state, but Republicans still believe that they successfully kept Democrats from supporting President Obama. As Pennsylvania’s GOP Chairman Rob Gleason told Pennsylvania Cable Network earlier this week, the party “cut Obama by 5 percent” in 2012 and “probably Voter ID had helped a bit in that.” Watch it:

they are designed to suppress illegal voter ID. I watched 1000 men vote 10 times each in the primary BHO vs Hillary and other elections with my own eyes.I myself was offered to get paid to vote multiple times.. The state a, local and feds know all about it and did nothing, news stations too.
I will make you a bet, Goto Chester Pa next presidential election and just watch, if you dont see anything wrong i will give you 10k$
