I only read Christine, which was a delightful way of stretching a 200 pager into 500 excrutiatingly mind numbing ones.
Everyone tells me it wasn't his best, but I never bothered reading anymore of his.
He had the audacity to criticize the movie, like it didn't do it justice. Which I suppose is true if your aim is to bore your audience into a 20 year coma.

The movie is one of my all time faves.

It usually gets talked along with Orwell's 1984. Both good books. The Doors of Perception was also good.

Yes.

It's a literary genius describing a peyote trip. It's where Jim Morrison got the name for The Doors.

no worries man, i'm easy going. the book is about a post apocalyptic world where all the residents have been rounded up into camps and forced into slave labor. it uses a lot of the same concepts that 1984 does like not speaking against the government, hidden meanings in words like doublethink and newspeak, etc.
2 ups, 2m
Sounds interesting, I always had a thing for post apocalyptic, I suppose starting with Planet of the Apes, the Forbidden Zone...

maybe, honestly i don't know. but i thought the book was good. I really try not to consume myself with who says what in the news to that level, i have enough other things to concern myself with :)

My mother in law is about to have surgery on monday and we dont have much help for her, or us with child care for that matter, so next week is probably going to be pretty busy again...life sucks sometimes, but dad gummit you gotta persist and make the best of it! Overall I'm very blessed to even have these problems.

Douglas Adams wrote several of my favorite sci-fi books. Political books would be by either PJ O’Rouke (give war a chance, parliament of w**res, all the trouble in the world) or Al Franken (lies and the lying liars that tell them, truth with jokes, and Rush is a big fat idiot)

I have read some Stephen King, but I’m not into horror.

The Spider Mafia written by an online friend. His girlfriend asked him to write a story about her cat. You can tell he’s an amateur, but it’s pretty interesting.

Blood cloak: a man of his sword by W James Chan

Again he was an online friend, but he has a degree in writing and helped me with my own.

Then there is my award winning sister the author. Sorry no tell titles. Prefer to stay anonymous;)
