Wow. That was quite a bit of anger there. Maybe you should talk to someone. Seriously. There are a lot of low-cost counseling services out there.
Undocumented immigrants are not eligible for government health insurance. The closest thing to it that they can get is the health care provided inside detention centers.
Obamacare isn't perfect, by any stretch of the imagination. I used the exchange for a while, and it was expensive. It was cheaper than what I would have gotten on my own, but I gotta say, I was super relieved when I got a job that provided benefits. I'm sorry you can't afford health insurance right now. That sucks. I'm surprised you were able to afford it before, but perhaps you were on a super specific, or super bare-bones plan that worked for you. If health care through the exchanges cost 4 to 6 times your income, you must either have a double-digit monthly income or wildly expensive health care needs. That REALLY sucks.
Let's not equate Obamacare and socialized medicine, though. They're almost nothing like each other. Actual socialized medicine doesn't involve insurance at all - it's just health care. Without a middleman and with prices set with the needs of the public (rather than the needs of private companies) in mind, medical costs go down. I went to school abroad, and where I went had actual socialized medicine. As someone with a valid student visa (there as well, undocumented immigrants didn't get health care), I had access to the system, and it was amazing and cheap. More well-off people still hired private health care companies, and got better care because of it, but the poor people like me still got care. And the added cost in taxes was significantly lower than the monthly amount I would have paid in the states. Everyone wins.
Do you not work full time? Or do you cobble together multiple part time jobs? Or are you an independent contractor, or self-employed? I can't think of another situation in which you wouldn't have access to affordable health care...
