Yes. Seeing that Honduras is in central america I'd of thought English would have been secondary.

Well technically yes, but song as I left the country when I was a toddler who isn't really fluent in any language I don't count it. I grew up speaking only English. I soak I was bilingual. I know enough Spanish to not die from starvation if I ever found myself stranded in a Spanish speaking country, lol

Lol. I'm pretty sure you're right. I bet one would be hard pressed to find a white, blonde haired, blue eyed Jesus.

Indeed, we've been saved but the actions of our lives determines if we will benefit from that salvation or not. :)

So if our actions are negative, such as willful sinning, or not doing enough (James 4:17), then will we lose the benefit of that salvation?

If you're wilfully sinning and offending God then yes, you lose salvation i. e. Heaven

So, to avoid that, are we not therefore contradicting Galatians 3:10-13?

I'm afraid that isn't possible. You must understand that any effort... including faith... is an effort on our part is obedience to the law [by the letter or by conscience; and the Bible says that neither one, saves (Romans 2:14-24 & 3:19-20)].

19 Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.
20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
Romans 3:19-20

Isn't effort to do something a work? Like accepting Jesus, baptism is an action.
0 ups, 5y
Yes it is. This is where we get into Calvinistic soteriology, but for the sake of simplicity, while Faith is a work, it is the only work that saves (John 6:26-29).
