No. My brother's job required him to go there. They had never been to that country before and had no idea about the social restrictions. Once they landed they were greeted by Corp, who warned them what had happened to other American wives and daughters that had gone out without covering their heads, etc. The incidents were rather ugly to say the least, and my sister-in-law was much relieved when they left, saying she would never go back. I have vacationed in an Islamic country...the U.A.E. I went to Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and the Arabian desert. It is a very interesting place to vacation and a definite eye opener. She did not have to cover her head in public other than when we visited the Grand Mosque.
