It is not about bottom line it is about disrespect and alienation of customers. Imagine if the politics and drama had not been introduced, what would they have made then? Both the NFL and Nike did not just lose a customer they lost me forever. I haven't watched an NFL game in years and no one in my social circle has. Whatever we as customers cost them was magnified by our encouraging others to also go elsewhere. A good review can bring in three more customers, a bad review can cost twenty. My nikes went from my daily running shoes to daily wear for tending to the animals, the are rubbed in &*() daily, that is what they are worth to me.
