75% of women who choose abortion, are poor. If they all have children, that would cripple the country financially. Even if each birth cost tax payers just $1,000.00, that would be $478,626,000 for 2016 alone for the 75% who are poor and would get gov help. Just for birth, not to mention the food for a year and the births from the prior year, education, additional cost for the mother who can no longer work, this is easily a 5 trillion dollar a year cost.

You can't legislate people to wear condoms, anymore than you can legislate them to not have sex. Those opposed to abortion are also opposed to paying for contraceptives. Personally, I'd prefer paying for condoms on every street corner than paying for lifelong care for children living in squalor with unloving parents.

I appose abortion, not an religious grounds, and I have no problem paying for MY contraception. Because I'm responsible for my actions and try to make as few poor decisions as I can. No, most people who hate abortion are pro-condom. If there were less government services for children, it would be harder to have kids, so more folks would use condoms.

Thank you for showing your true colors. This is the main driver regarding both abortion and contraception, being that everyone should be responsible for their actions. The primary word here being, "should". Yes, I agree that they should. Everyone agrees that they should. But, you can't legislate should. By denying access in nearly any form, (regardless of who pays for it) and especially for people on the margins who struggle to find the money to pay for it, you're doing nothing to MAKE anyone behave more responsibly. You will never stop people from taking the risk and having sex regardless of outcome and how more poor it might make them. You will actually make the problem worse.

1. By denying people a small fee free contraceptive, we may be giving ourselves trillions in dollars of added debt.
2. The very people without the, "should" gene, will propagate more than those who do have it.
3. Personally I'd prefer to change the gene pool to reduce the percentage of takers in our world by reducing the rate with which they reproduce, in any way possible. Like I said, make them available on every street corner for free.

That's true but you are suggesting someone who keeps making poor decisions and does not have the personal responsibility to use contraception and accidentally becomes pregnant, will suddenly make a responsible decision and do what is best. Most poor people end up keeping the child.
