It is all performance art. He never intended to hit a target that would "kill 150 people," as he later explained. I think he saw that Kevin Costner film about Kennedy and the Cuban Missile Crisis and had a fantasy in which he was the idealized version of the President in the film. He just wanted to be seen as a "man of action," and made up the whole story. My favorite part was his explanation in which the "Generals," did not know how many civilians would be killed and had to "get back to him." In my very short Army career, I was not as icompetent as the guys he portrayed. And, they all spoke with his "voice." Did you ever notice that all the people in a fabircation made up by a little kid use the kid's jargon, favorite fords and language, etc? H made up the whole story for guys like you. He knows you will swallow it because you have swallowed everything else he has said. The plan, all along, was more sanctions. They are just less sexy and take time to put in place. Generals will resign before they act on a hair brained John Bolton scheme.

Don't confuse me with someone else. I don't care what bs went down. I just care that he didn't start what could be a massive war. You think it's just Bolton stirring the pot?

As a fellow scorp, I am torn. Do I give you a wise ass answer? "Sometimes I feel like I am going to die laughing, listening to this clown." Or, do I climb up on my soapbox? "The widely held perception of an ideal America, has been dying a salami death (one slice at a time) since February 2017?" I'll settle for, "Yes, we will all die, someday. I hope to postpone the inevitable for as long as possible. I don't need this person to hasten the day of my demise."

You should seek help for your TDS. There's no shame in it, many have had to do so.

There is possibly nothing funnier than a guy hiding behind a silly nickname in a political discussion about what should be a serious subject, suggesting that I have a problem because I am calling out the craziness of a demonstrably unstable guy he worships. What you need is a porkchop and peanut butter sandwich. It will get your blood sugar up, and maybe your self esteem will spike enough for you to see that you have real worth as a human being.

I now need to examine my own sanity. After typing the above, first thing after getting out of bed on Saturday morning, I went to Yahoo and saw this headline, "Fox News commentator doubts Trump strike story. "It doesn't make sense." Am I channeling Fox News? They agree with me? I feels so.......dirty.

I think it is an administration in chaos. The president is, in my opinion, not capable of understanding the gravity of half of what he does, in his attempt to squeeze every extremist vote out of the country for 2020. The Generals will not take illegal orders. And, they will steer him toward the most sensible military responses. They are our buffers against the war you fear. But, Bolton will do everything in his power to provoke the Iranians into doing something stupid. I hope you realize that my comments abvout his courage and decisiveness were satire.
