Some users have a thing against anonymous submissions. I've never understood that.

As long as they are within the Terms of Use and have been approved by a moderator, I am fine with them and actually upvote and comment on a lot of them.

But yes, anonymous memes are often shunned... I am ashamed to say that even I, when I started out here, didn't upvote anonymous posts.
