when you mix a healthy dose of ignorance with a 24hr soap opera,outrage machine that is dressed up as "news" and fed to a public with biased,and emotionally charged rhetoric that does not seek to inform,but rather to agitate our lizard brains.
some people who are ill-equipped to see through the simplistic veil of propaganda,the nativistic jargon and hyper-nationalistic rhetoric.their ignorance is so profound,and gleefully perpetuated by the media that it has created a weird national hysteria.
rightwingers have labeled this "trump derangement syndrome" and not incorrectly,but this is not the first incarnation.we saw the same knee jerk reactionary response during the Obama years,and the media exacerbated that situation as well,because it is PROFITABLE to do so.
the media has so ill-informed people that they know something is wrong.
something is not quite right,but they lack the tools to identify what the reasons may be.so it creates this paranoid hysteria that needs a focus.
this time around it is trump.

trump is a symptom,not the disease.
he is the manifestation of a much deeper rot within our society,our republic,our politics.our representative republic is seriously ill at the moment.
