If you are tired of getting notified every time there is a comment made on a meme that you commented on do this:

I had that box checked for a day. It was terrible!

I never checked it, but I imagine people who have and then got email bombed!

I had 33 notifications one morning, and over half of them were notifying me that someone commented on a meme I also commented on!

It has been rare that get more than say, 10-15 notifications. Once or twice I had more than 30. I Comment on memes like no bodies business. I would get blown right on up!

I actually did a meme telling users about this feature! I would not have if I would've known how bad it was lol

I commented on that meme. I went browsing your memes and found it. LOL! Crazy! Well, acuity said "if you only comment rarely on low traffic memes you won't get spammed with notifications." I imagine if I checked that box every meme I comment on will suddenly be front page with 700 comments. LOL

It was a fantastic idea to post this meme. Although on my account that box was never checked in the first place, there are many users who can be helped by this advice :)

Hopefully someone who needs it will see it.

And here I thought I was popular getting so many notifications only to see the same ones twice. So if the box is checked you get notified if someone comments on a meme you commented on and also if it was in response to your comment. So confusing. All fixed now, thanks!

Not surprised! I don't wanna know how many notifications I would get. I comment on a lot of memes! That would be irritating!

Gonna add. Sometimes it depends upon the stream in which the meme was submitted. One of the side streams with maybe less than 80 followers will not have a ton of views or up votes because they are seen by fewer people. But honestly,I am more about the fun in comments with my friends here.

Can you imagine one of the popular memes that are loaded with comments? That would drive me off a cliff.
