Hitler and the Muslims found common ground in their hostilities towards common enemies, as well as their shared anti-semitism. Hitler even admired their religion, preferring its ideologies over his own religion's.

Securing and holding the Arabian oil fields is the first thing the British did. Iraq and Palestine were British mandates. In fact, Britain pretty much single handedly started the modern Israel conflict by promising independence and statehood to Palestinians and to Jewish settlers for support to the war - and both sides gave it, setting up an impossible expectation of Britain to fulfill contradicting promises.

The British never lost their strongholds in Egypt. Both sides had support from various factions in Africa.

Muslims in Indonesia wer not on the side of Japan. They were brutally occupied. Muslims in India had a long history of serving the British empire and probably were the main group of Muslims Churchill was getting at when he built the mosque in London in 1940.

To treat Muslims as a global homogenous block is bullshit in any conversation but never more so in purgeboy's schoolboy attempt to hijack national sentiment for Winston Churchill to his ceaseless memes for genocide.

If you're looking to start a whole new line of discussion separate from the thread, you need to say that. The way you chimed in, it really looked a lot likev you wanted to extend the ongoing conversation in defense of purgeboy's wording. It was not an unreasonable understanding to make.
