A brand new feature for stream owners has been added recently.

You can now upgrade the role of a stream moderator to that of stream owner. This could be used to facilitate handoff of ownership of a stream, as an alternative to deleting a stream or for use by an stream owner who intends to become inactive.

Use caution with this new feature, a new stream owner could take actions on their own that may be unexpected.

Is multiple owners an option?

Yes, two or more users can be stream owners.

is 5 streams still the limit for number of streams owned? I'd be willing to co-own this but I already have 5 streams.

You can be made the co-owner of multiple streams by other stream owners, and you can also be the owner of more than 5 streams. They are listed as your "Streams Owned" here: imgflip.com/my-streams

I currently own 8 streams, I would need to remove myself as owner on 4 of those to be able to create a new stream.
