Much delayed response, was just surfing some of my older memes, and this occurred to me when I re-read your comment. Could have made for a decent gag in the movie;

"Dude, we need to get Bach to the future" *pause a beat* *air guitars*

Or even a possible sequel title, as a nod to the Michael J. Fox movies. (Although they may not have gotten away with that at the time).

Indeed, makes one wonder if they're going to try to pull today's common narrative of "this time we've got strong, empowered women in the main roles", when they've brought back someone who epitomized a strong, /well-written/ woman in the earlier movies.

In other words what every movie was already doing but never admitting to. 2 just happened regardless to the 1's ending, 3 practically retcon 2's ending, 5 treated 4 as if it never existed so why not do the same with 6. Heck the only movie that you could was a direct sequel to anything was 4 and only really because it had so a massive time jump between it and 3 if it did any changes to the 'timeline' they were barely noticeable.

Actually 5 did have his blessing before it came out. After it, he denied ever having faith in it, same thing with happen here. Secondly James Cameron also wanted the same villain from Avatar to be in the four sequels even though that character is very dead. Cameron is not the best to write any form of sequel. heck T2 is literally just one gender switch away from just being T1 all over again.

Nope, only just found out about that a few hours ago. Just a reference to his age. Amusing coincidence though!

Arnie was at the 'Arnold Classic Africa' sporting event last week, and was doing a snapchat thing with some fans when this guy comes running up behind him and literally dropkicks him for no apparent reason.

Except that the "drop" part didn't quite work, Arnie barely even moved, and said later that he didn't even realize what had happened, he thought he'd just been jostled by the crowd. (Obviously just PR though, not wanting to make a big deal of the situation).
